Join The Sanders Firm To Support Families Affected By Autism

The Sanders Firm, is proud to attend the Michael W. McCarthy Foundation’s 2015 Annual Golf Outing Event. This year’s event benefits Life’s WORC and The Family Center for Autism, which provides crucial services and resources for families affected by autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and other developmental disabilities.

On Monday, October 5th, join the honorees for an exciting excursion to Plandome Country Club in Manhasset, NY. Enjoy a full brunch upon your arrival before teeing off on Plandome’s golf course, which is renowned for its majestic, sweeping views.

Not a golfer? You can still join in the charitable efforts of the Michael W. McCarthy Foundation by attending dinner or the cocktail hour, or by sending a tax deductible “There in Thought” donation.

Introducing the 2015 honorees

Tina Moreno and the Schott family are the other special honorees at the 2015 Annual Golf Outing Event. Members of the Schott family are the founders of The Family Center for Autism. Tina Moreno is the Director of Community Relations at Life’s WORC Family Center for Autism. Affectionately known as “Aunt Tina,” she serves as a special needs family mentor and has been a tireless autism and anti-bullying advocate.

The Family Center for Autism

Life’s WORC is a private, 501(c) (3) organization that uses a unique model to support special needs families. At their Family Center for Autism, Long Island and Queens families can receive a lifetime of family centric support services. The charity provides supportive homes for more than 221 individuals and comprehensive services to more than 1,200 individuals and families. Their many contributions to the special needs community include home supports, behavioral interventions, social recreation programs, skills development initiatives, and vocational training opportunities.

Additionally, individuals with autism who need Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions can take advantage of the collaborative school linkage programs through the Family Center for Autism.

Above all, the Family Center for Autism provides hope to families who are struggling with the challenges associated with special needs. The Sanders Firm is proud to be associated with the Michael W.
