One of the types of automobile accidents we see way too frequently are cases involving trucks, large trucks, or tractor-trailers. You see these types of accidents on the highways quite often.
Unfortunately, these men and women who operate these tractor-trailers are trying to support their families. They’re trying to make a living, and they work very hard, sometimes too hard and for very long hours.
It’s very easy to be tired and not be able to give driving the full attention it needs. They slip out of their lanes. They slip into other lanes.
Sometimes they’re in a hurry to make a quota or meet a deadline, and they’re not paying the full attention that they should. That, under the law, is negligence.
You see a lot of tractor-trailers that disregard vehicles traveling next to them, in the left lane or the right lane, and merge without doing so when it’s safe.
I see a lot of horrific accidents caused by trucks and tractor-trailer-type vehicles that merge improperly, don’t yield the right of way to other vehicles, and cause really horrific accidents.
It’s way too common, unfortunately, but we do see that a lot.
