Catherine J. Fiorentino is a Partner at The Sanders Law Firm. A trial attorney with more than a decade of experience, she is a passionate and hard-working litigator who understands the complexities of catastrophic personal injury cases.

While she never hesitates to take a case to trial, Ms. Fiorentino is also adept at analyzing risk and knowing when a settlement is more advantageous for her client. Whether handling trials, post-trial hearings, motions, or appeals, her client’s interests are always front and center.

Ms. Fiorentino’s practice is focused on construction accident cases brought under New York Labor Law. She has also litigated cases involving premises liability, negligent security, medical and professional malpractice, motor vehicle accident litigation, wrongful death, toxic torts, construction defect, insurance coverage, and general tort liability.

Working with over 30 different insurers during her time as a defense lawyer has given her unique insight into what defense attorneys and insurance carriers are looking for when evaluating personal injury claims. This knowledge allows her to communicate and negotiate effectively on behalf of  clients and their families and maximize their financial recovery.

Ms. Fiorentino earned a law degree from Hofstra University, where she was selected for the Judge Edward Hart Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, served as President of the Hofstra chapter of the American Association of Justice, and coordinated the Hofstra Intramural Trial Competition. After graduating law school, she was admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Super Lawyers named Ms. Fiorentino to their Rising Stars list for 2021 in the area of Construction Litigation. She speaks regularly on construction accidents at conferences and training programs and has written on N.Y. Labor Law 241(6) for The Defendant.

Ms. Fiorentino was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York as a first-generation Italian American. After emigrating from Sicily, her father became an architect and construction manager in New York City. As a child, she often went to job sites with him, sparking a lifelong fascination with construction that has continued throughout her legal career.
