Inside the Case: New York Pedestrian Accident

Video Transcript

A case in particular that stands out where I was happy with the result and it’s actually still ongoing is a case where a mom and her two kids are just crossing the street to get to the bus so she can take her kids to school and the car just failed to yield the right of way and hit all three of them in the crosswalk. Both kids were severely injured so, you know, we were able to navigate that case. The insurance company happened to be one of the more difficult insurance companies. So, we tried to push it through litigation as quickly as possible in order to get compensation for our clients.

Ultimately, we did reach a result and we did reach a settlement. And the reason why it’s still pending is because we need to, since they’re minors, get a judge’s approval for the settlement. But I believe that that will be done shortly. And it didn’t take years and years and years to do it. It was a pretty tough case with those children.
