I’ve been very fortunate over the years. I’ve handled many different types of cases, and they’ve had very positive results.
The cases I’ve worked on have ranged from automobile accidents and trip-and-fall cases to assault cases. A few years back, I had the privilege of representing a young woman who was brutally and violently assaulted and sexually assaulted at a hotel near a nightclub on Long Island.
We were fortunate to have investigators who quickly gathered the information, witnesses, and statements we needed. We brought a case against the nightclub for failing to protect her, as they were really her last line of defense before she left the club that evening and the horrific assault took place.
That case went to trial, and we were able to obtain a very favorable verdict for her. She’ll never be made whole for what she went through, but she was entitled to compensation for her injuries.
I’m very proud of that case because it became deeply personal. I spent a great deal of time with her and her family, getting to know them and understanding everything she had been through. It was very satisfying to see that she knew she should have been protected and that she had done nothing wrong. Seeing how the case turned out is something that has stayed with me over the years.
Beyond that case, getting to know the families, friends, and neighbors of the clients I’ve represented has always been very fulfilling. I’ve been fortunate over the past 30 years to meet and represent so many different people.
