In 30 years, I’ve seen a lot of people and met a lot of people. One of the nice things, and it sounds a little cliché at times, is just how important family is here.
Phyllis and Stanley Sanders founded this firm a very long time ago, over 50 years ago. I had the pleasure of working for Stanley and Phyllis from day one, and I’ve watched the family here actually grow up. I have partners at the firm now who I remember back when they were just in school and I was a young attorney starting out.
I’ve been fortunate enough to share in some of the important times in the lives of the people I work with: christenings, baptisms, bar mitzvahs, birthdays, and weddings. My partners and friends here at the firm have shared some of the biggest moments in my life, including my wedding day and special events with my children.
I have a lot of friends. I know a lot of lawyers. One thing I have that I think a lot of them don’t have is that real sense of family and the importance of family here.
I’m not just surrounded by people I work with. These are people who know my life intimately. My children know my partners and my bosses’ names. There’s a genuine reality that the people I work with every day care about me and care about my family. The same goes for how I feel about them.
It really makes this a nice place to come to every day and makes my career very fulfilling. I’m very proud to be a part of the firm and very grateful.
