Meet Doug Sanders | Senior Partner at The Sanders Law Firm

Video Transcript

I was born in New York. I grew up in New York. I attended Duke University and went to George Washington Law School in Washington, DC. I started my passion for the law in high school. I worked in my dad and mom’s file room in the office that became Sanders, Aranova, Grossman, Woycik, Viener, and Kalant. After I graduated law school, I interned at the Department of Justice and then went back to this office. The moment I walked into the office, I was handed a caseload and I never looked back. I take a lot of pride in the fact that I have done every single aspect of what this office does, from the file room to being a paralegal, being an attorney, to going into courts and being people’s advocates.

Growing up on Long Island and spending most of my time in New York City, I know what it is like to live here. I know what it is like to drive here. I know what it is like for the claimants that I represent to get hurt here. There is a massive responsibility in being a member of a firm that is a family firm. There is a legacy component and it is something that I take extremely seriously. I want to be as good of a lawyer as my mom and my dad. That is what drives me to this day. It is a work ethic that I hope to also give to the next generation as my children also want to one day become attorneys and work in this office. If you hire me, you are getting a New York lawyer that knows what it is like to live in New York.
