My name is Jay Kenneth Margolus. I am a senior partner at Sanders Aronova, and I run the federal trial practice for the firm as well as the medical malpractice department.
I graduated from the University of Dayton Law School in 1984. I was admitted to practice in the State of New York in 1985. I’ve practiced and tried cases in almost every county in the State of New York, and I’ve been doing this for 41 years.
Every case we handle in the office is a team effort. We are here to protect the interests of the client. We want the client’s input.
Here at the firm, clients are not numbers to us. They are people. We understand what they’re going through, whether it be a horrific accident or a medical malpractice matter. Sometimes a family just needs someone to talk to. I think what kind of makes us unique is that personal touch.
To pursue a medical malpractice case or a nursing home case, you need a large firm that has the resources and financial wherewithal to prosecute your case. These cases are time-consuming. They need a big staff. They need money, and we have all those things at our disposal. So, I think that makes us very unique in this field.
It’s one of the reasons I joined the firm three years ago when I was invited to do whatever we need to do to get the client the best results. There’s nothing more satisfying for me as a trial lawyer.
